Training Agreement for LeBeau Love, PLLC This training agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into by and between LeBeau Love, PLLC and [Name of Trainee], (“Trainee”) for the purpose of providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy training to the Trainee.
1. Scope of Training.
The Trainer will provide the Trainee with the necessary training and education required to complete Basic Training. The training will include both didactic and experiential components and will cover the eight phases of EMDR therapy as outlined by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).
If an EMDRIA Credit or EC program, the participant must have completed an EMDRIA approved EMDR basic training.
2. Training Schedule.
For EMDR basic trainings, The training schedule will be determined by mutual agreement between the Trainer and the Trainee. The training will consist of a minimum of 50 hours (20 hours instruction, 20 hours practicum, 10 hours consultation) which may be delivered in-person or online. The Trainee will be required to complete all training hours to receive a certificate of completion and call themselves “EMDR trained”.
If an EC program, schedule is on-demand or as outlined in the registration process.
3. Training Fees. The Trainee will pay the Trainer the agreed-upon training fees prior to the start of the training. In the event that the Trainee is unable to complete the training, fees may be prorated at the discretion of the Trainer.
4. Confidentiality. All training materials and discussions will be considered confidential and will not be shared with third parties without the express written consent of the Trainer. The Trainee agrees to maintain confidentiality and will not disclose any confidential information obtained during the training.
5. Participant Requirements to participate in training:
The participant is state licensed in providing psychotherapy to clients or is a student in a program that results in such state licensure. If the trainee is a student, they are in their second year or more of their program.
For EC programs, the participant must have completed and EMDRIA approved EMDR basic training before taking the course.
The participant has, and can use, necessary electronic means adequate enough to participate in all aspects of the training without severe/lengthy technical interruptions.
6. Certification. Upon successful completion of the training, the Trainee will be eligible for certification as an EMDR therapist. Certification will be granted by EMDRIA and will require additional continuing education, documentation, and fees.
7. Termination. Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason. In the event of termination, any fees paid by the Trainee will be prorated at the discretion of the Trainer.
